Introduction to Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a comprehensive and evolving cloud computing platform over the internet provided by Amazon. AWS is a cloud computing platform originally launched internally in 2002 in Amazon. As Amazon Infrastructure was its core strength, in 2003 Amazon decided to launched this idea to market. In 2004, AWS launched publicly with SQS. Again in 2006, AWS re-launched publicly with SQS, S3 & EC2. And from there on AWS become world famous for Cloud Computing platform. The worldwide infrastructure as a service (IaaS) market grew 29.7% in 2022, to total $120.3 billion, up from $92.8 billion in 2021, according to Gartner, Inc. Amazon retained the No. 1 position in the IaaS market in 2022, followed by Microsoft, Alibaba, Google and Huawei.

This "Pay As You Go" model makes it super affordable for businesses of all sizes to use AWS.
